The ‘International Museum Expo 2023’, inaugurated by India’s Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, witnessed the presence of numerous representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Supreme Court of India, Railway Board, Ministry of Art and Culture, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ministry of Mines and many more.

Astro Night Sky Tourism aims to create an immersive experience that connects visitors with the infinite beauty and grandeur of the cosmos. This one-of-a-kind celestial adventure combines education, entertainment, and pure awe in a mesmerizing blend.
Upon entering the event, visitors were greeted by dazzling observations of celestial objects and informative talks. SPACE India’s expert astronomers and educators stood ready to guide enthusiasts of all ages on an exploration of the cosmos, from understanding the birth and death of stars to unraveling the mysteries of planets, visitors embark on an educational journey like no other.
One of the main highlights of the event was the opportunity to observe celestial objects like Venus, the brightest planet in Earth’s night sky, and Mars, the Red Planet, through Space Arcade’s (https://spacearcade.in/) high-powered telescopes. Under the guidance of Space India’s knowledgeable educators, visitors unraveled the hidden wonders of the universe and developed a profound appreciation for the celestial ballet taking place above us every night.
To engage visitors further, the event also featured interactive workshops and presentations which included Comet making, Solar System making, and weighing yourself on different planets. These sessions catered to all age groups, which provided insights into astronomy and inculcated a sense of joy among the audience. Whether it’s learning about our planets or decoding the secrets of the constellations, participants broadened their understanding of the cosmos and acquired skills to explore the night sky on their own.

Special exhibits highlighted the cultural significance of astronomical observations throughout history, showcasing how different civilizations have interpreted the stars and incorporated them into their mythology and calendars. Space India’s Astro Night Sky Tourism: A Sky gazing Event done in collaboration with National Science Centre, at the International Museum Expo in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 18th and 19th May, 2023 presented an unforgettable opportunity to explore the wonders of the night sky.
