This day serves as a platform to inspire future generations to pursue STEM careers, ignite curiosity about space science, and highlight how space technology transforms lives and contributes to national development. School-Led Celebrations for National Space Day 2025 SPACE India invites schools nationwide to celebrate National Space Day 2025 (August 23), inspired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat address. Under the theme “Viksit Bharat in Orbit: Leading the New Space Race”, schools will conduct creative STEM activities from 18th–26th August 2025 to spark curiosity, innovation, and national pride.
Programs may include model exhibitions, solar observations, quizzes, debates, and poster competitions. All celebrations will be documented in a national report shared with ISRO, with top schools featured on SPACE India’s platforms. One school will also receive the Grand Winner Award.

As part of National Space Day 2025 celebrations, SPACE India is hosting an Poster Making Competition on 21st August 2025 at Heartfulness International School (Omega Branch), Chennai on the theme “Viksit Bharat in Orbit: Leading the New Space Race,” the competition offers students of Classes 3–12 a platform to creatively depict India’s vision as a developed nation driving global space innovation.
Participants will compete in three categories — Junior (3–5), Middle (6–8), Senior (9–12) — with schools nominating one student per group. Posters will be hand-drawn on-site within 90 minutes and evaluated on creativity, thematic relevance, artistic skill, and message clarity.
Awards: Top three winners in each category will receive certificates, prizes, and features in SPACE India’s magazine Galactica and social media platforms. All participants will receive certificates of participation.
SPACE India, in collaboration with Raman Science Centre, Nagpur, is hosting two flagship events to inspire young minds and honour India’s growing leadership in space exploration scheduled on 22nd August 2025 at Raman Science Centre, Nagpur.
Poster Presentation Competition (Grades 8–10) A hybrid event challenging students to translate complex space science concepts into creative, scientifically accurate posters on the theme “Viksit Bharat in Orbit: Leading the New Space Race.” Finalists will present their work on-site to a distinguished jury, with top entries awarded and featured by SPACE India.
STOMP Rocketry Workshop (Grades 5–7) A fun, hands-on session where students design, build, and launch their own stomp rockets while learning real-world rocket science principles. All participants receive certificates.
Both events are first-come-first-serve, encouraging schools to register early.

In response to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call during Mann Ki Baat (Episode 124) to celebrate India’s space achievements, SPACE India and Russian House are hosting a flagship event for school students, scheduled on 25th August 2025.
The Poster Presentation Competition (Grades 6–8) invites students to create and present posters on “Viksit Bharat in Orbit: Leading the New Space Race.” Finalists will showcase their work before a distinguished jury, with awards for the top entries and selected posters featured by SPACE India.
An inspiring space-themed film screening will also take place at Russian House, open to all on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Highlights include a hybrid format with online submissions, certificates for all finalists and social media recognition.
