A Transformational UITS Interaction with ISRO Scientist Dr Arun Bhardwaj
At SPACE India, we believe that inspiration is the spark that lights the path to scientific discovery. On November 17, 2025, that spark illuminated the auditorium of Delhi Public School, Faridabad, as SPACE India, through its flagship educational initiative Universe in the School (UITS) — a specialised astronomy, space-science and STEM program offered to schools across India, hosted an extraordinary Guest Interaction titled “The Journey of a Scientist.” The event brought students of Grades VI to XII face-to-face with a remarkable mind who has helped propel India into the global space arena — Dr Arun Bhardwaj, Scientist/Engineer-SG, ISRO, Department of Space.

The morning began with immense anticipation, the hall vibrant with the energy of young aspirants who dream of building rockets, exploring planets, and expanding humanity’s horizon. Setting a reflective and inspiring tone, the session opened with the words:
“Great minds inspire us, kind hearts guide us, and true leaders light the path of our dreams.”
As Dr Bhardwaj stepped onto the stage, this sentiment came alive with powerful clarity.

What followed was more than a lecture; it was a journey through India’s rise as a spacefaring nation — from humble beginnings to the triumphant milestones of Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, Aditya-L1, and the historic human-spaceflight mission Gaganyaan. Dr Bhardwaj shared not just achievements, but the untold challenges, sleepless nights, and unshakeable determination that define every scientific breakthrough. His words resonated deeply with the students, reminding them that dreams become reality only when paired with resilience and relentless curiosity.
The interactive segment proved electrifying. Students asked thoughtful and bold questions, exploring concepts ranging from propulsion physics to astronaut survival, and from satellite technology to the possibility of life beyond Earth. With every answer, the auditorium grew brighter — not with light, but with imagination.

For SPACE India, the event stood as a powerful reaffirmation of our mission to nurture a scientifically empowered generation that will define India’s future in space exploration. Witnessing students leave the auditorium with shining eyes and renewed ambition reaffirmed the purpose behind UITS as we continuously work to connect students with real-world space professionals and hands-on learning experiences that transform imagination into aspiration.

The session concluded with a standing ovation — a moment that echoed the belief that the sky is not the limit; it is only the beginning.

SPACE India extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr Arun Bhardwaj for inspiring future scientists and to Delhi Public School, Faridabad, for their collaboration in shaping the thinkers and explorers of tomorrow.
