The session featured speaker, Prof. Shantanu Rastogi, Department of Physics, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, guided the audience through the science behind the equinox with clarity and ease, while the session was seamlessly hosted by Ms Rishita Sharma, Educator Space India, whose engaging presence kept the conversation lively and accessible.
Centred around the March Equinox, which occurred at 14:45 on the same day, the webinar highlighted the science behind this moment of near-perfect balance, when day and night are almost equal across the globe. The discussion explained how Earth’s 23.5° axial tilt and its orbit around the Sun give rise to such phenomena, shaping seasons, daylight patterns, and our experience of time itself. What appears to be a simple shift in seasons unfolded into a deeper narrative of cosmic precision and harmony.
