Space India took the capital city of India by storm with its highly anticipated Planetarium Show. This captivating event served as a beacon of knowledge, drawing people from all walks of life to indulge in the wonders of space and astronomy. Held at two locations for three days each, the planetarium show left an indelible mark on the minds of its attendees. Planetarium provided a virtual and immersive experience in a dome environment with a beautifully presented simulation of the universe to its audience of all age groups.
The Pacific Mall in Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi, was the stage for the first event, held from 26th to 28th May 2023. The second event graced the Pacific Mall in Dwarka, Delhi, from 2nd to 4th June 2023 where Space India rekindled its passion for celestial exploration. Two shows, each lasting 30 minutes, were performed at successive intervals. The first show, titled ‘Back to The Moon for Good,’ delved into present and future missions to the moon, showcasing the various research programs aimed at establishing human settlements in the not-so-distant future. The second show, ‘Deep Sky,’ unveiled mesmerizing celestial objects such as galaxies, nebulas, star clusters, and supernova remnants. Both shows left the audience enthralled and eager for more and every show went houseful.
The response to the Planetarium Show was overwhelming, with a footfall of approximately 600 people over the course of the six-day event. The allure of the cosmos proved irresistible, attracting individuals of all ages; everyone was eager to step inside and witness the mysteries of outer space first-hand. The enthusiasm of the school students, in particular, was infectious. Their genuine curiosity and thirst for knowledge shone through as they eagerly absorbed every detail presented during the shows.
As the mesmerizing visuals unfolded before the audience’s eyes, they were transported on a cosmic journey, exploring the wonders of the universe. The Planetarium Show ignited a sense of awe and wonder within each spectator, leaving them amazed by the vastness of the universe.
